As interim CEO of Mark Cross, I led the revitalization of this iconic luxury brand, drawing on over 30 years of expertise in the luxury goods sector to build a foundation for operational excellence and sustainable growth. My strategic focus was on implementing scalable systems and processes to support the brand’s long-term success.

During my tenure, I directed efforts to streamline business operations in collaboration with the VP of Operations, whom I brought on board to strengthen our infrastructure. Together, we overhauled the ERP system, optimized warehousing and logistics, and redesigned the product development cycle—achieving a 25% reduction in time-to-market. By addressing e-commerce challenges, including leading a complete redesign of product photography to mitigate sizing confusion, we reduced product returns from 23% to 4% and increased online sales by 30% within the first year.

I worked closely with the Creative Director to align the brand’s product offerings with its ultra-luxury heritage, focusing on artisanal craftsmanship made in Italy. Together, we updated all product imagery to reflect a sophisticated luxury positioning and redesigned the website to optimize the customer experience, introducing pre-visualization tools that enhanced shopper confidence and engagement.

Additionally, I built and mentored a nimble, knowledgeable team, fostering innovation and collaboration while guiding them with clear strategies and scalable goals. Initiatives such as introducing monogramming services and optimizing manufacturing relationships enhanced product quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer engagement.

By establishing clear fiscal KPIs and reorganizing the finance department to leverage advanced technologies, I created a strong foundation for profitability.
